Vacuum Replacement Filters: Match the Model and Filter Position

Vacuum filters are easy to reorder once you know which filter you are looking at: pre-motor, post-motor, exhaust or a combined cartridge.

Find the right replacement

Find your vacuum replacement filters

Start with the brand and exact model you already own. Add the old part, filter or cartridge code if you can find it, and we’ll build a targeted Amazon search from those identifiers.

Not sure where to find the model?

Look for a reusable model identifier on the product label, not the unique serial number. Good places to check are the underside or back of the device, inside a removable bin or battery door, the charging/emptying dock, the old cartridge itself, the manual, or your original order history.

Search Amazon with these details

Still verify before buying: the Amazon listing should explicitly name your exact model or the same replacement/part code. Similar appearance is not enough.

Fast rule: the exact model, cartridge or part code beats appearance. If the listing does not clearly name what you own, do not force the match.

Identify where the filter sits

Open the vacuum only according to its manual and note whether the filter sits before the motor, after the motor or inside a dust-bin assembly. The location helps distinguish filters that may share a similar shape.

Search the complete vacuum model number together with the filter position or printed filter code. This narrows results much faster than a broad brand search.

Do not assume washable means interchangeable

Some filters are designed to be rinsed and fully dried; others should stay dry and be replaced. Follow the instructions for the exact filter rather than washing a dirty filter by instinct.

Compare frame dimensions, tabs, seals and foam layers. A loose seal can defeat the purpose of a filter even when it appears to fit inside the compartment.

Keep a spare when downtime is annoying

A spare can be useful if the approved cleaning process requires a long drying period. Rotate only filters that are confirmed for the same model and position.

For multi-filter vacuums, check whether a listing contains the complete set or only one stage before ordering.
